About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Communications to join our team in Jakarta, representing one of our leading clients in the telecommunications industry. This role will involve designing and executing communication strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive awareness of our client's cutting-edge solutions across South-East Asia.


As the Director of Communications, you will be the sole person managing the entire communications function in the region. You will lead the creation of external communication campaigns, including content, videos, and animations, targeting key audiences in Indonesia and beyond. Your role will be crucial in ensuring stakeholders understand and appreciate the impact of our client's initiatives on the region.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and implement communications strategies for our client across South-East Asia, focusing on Indonesia.

  • Develop engaging content, videos, and animations for high-impact media campaigns.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets across the region.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure awareness of our client's initiatives and innovations.

  • Oversee social media communication strategies, ensuring consistency with overall corporate objectives.

  • Track and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns, making adjustments where necessary.

  • Manage the entire communications function for the region independently, reporting directly to the VP of Communications and Marketing.

  • Be a hands-on contributor within a small, agile team of five, with a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of communications experience, with a solid background in PR, social media, and stakeholder management.

  • Extensive experience working with multinational corporations (MNCs), with a strong understanding of targeted media coverage.

  • Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English is essential.

  • Telecom experience is advantageous but not required.

  • Strong connections with media in South-East Asia, particularly in Indonesia.

  • Experience working across multiple countries in the region.

  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced, hands-on role with significant autonomy.

  • A case study presentation will be required during the interview process.

  • Able to start within 1-2 months, as longer notice periods cannot be accommodated.
